All your information that china needs about you are just one click away!
Know how!!
It is for sure that you have many Chinese apps installed on your phone. Everyone uses Chinese apps in their day to day lives. But do you know that all your information gets accessed once you agree to the terms and conditions of the app?

Recently Xiaomi was accused of sending private data of the user to china, obviously, the company refuted the reports that accused Xiaomi of Data Infringing on the privacy of its phone users by recording their Incognito Web and phone use habits. The claims were made by Gabi Cirlig, a researcher in Forbes, he found that his Redmi Note 8 smartphone was watching & sending almost everything that he was doing on the phone.

The most controversial app these days is Tiktok, it is a china based app and is accused of stealing personal data of the users and this is also proved, still, people don’t stop using this app.

The most trending topic Youtube VS Tik Tok has created a controversy of banning Tiktok in India because of its content. When you want to post any kind of video, it asks you permission to access your location, camera, etc.
Issues that occur with Chinese apps are:
Private information can be accessed easily by app developers.
All your phone’s data including location, OS, model, etc. are available to the app.
Your data can be shared with the Chinese Govt.
Your data is not secure, due to a lack of security measures by app developers.
If the government doesn’t keep track of these Chinese apps, all the user information accessed by the app, can be shared with the Chinese Govt and also be used by them.
Steps that should be taken to regulate the usage of these apps;
The government should strictly analyze these app’s policies and prevent problematic apps from launching in India.
Apps having serious issues of privacy [like tiktok] should be taken into consideration and should be banned.
Users should be aware of where their data is going exactly.
The cyber cells of India should be alerted by the government especially about these Chinese apps.
Lastly, we can do our bit by reducing their usage.
China enjoys and gains a lot of money because of the popularity of their apps. Alternate apps that can be used in replacement for these Chinese apps- Youtube, Instagram, Twitter n more.
It's not only about Xioami and TikTok, but collectively all the Chinese Apps and Softwares that are many times found malicious and held on accusations of Data Infringements.
There are many other alternatives from these malicious Chinese Apps but they offer services on your payment. We have to understand that "Nothing Is For Free". Even if Chinese Apps offer free services, they tend to compromise your data leaving you stranded. Hence, you should be aware of your data and do a bit on your part.
